SEA VIEW DINGHIES
Warrens provide a complete service in looking after your Sea View One Design dinghy (SVOD) to include storage, maintenance, rigging, mooring and on the spot repairs. We pride ourselves in offering a top quality 7 days a week service throughout the season to ensure if something goes wrong sailors miss as little sailing as possible.
We are constantly looking at whether we can improve our service further and if there is any thing we can assist you with, please ask.
Formed in the 30's, this family business is now in it's fourth generation and was founded to both build and service the Sea View dinghies.
Since forming, over 200 of these dinghies have been built, almost exclusively by the Warren Family. Although boats are seldom built these days, the business retains the traditional skills required to maintain the fleet in tip top condition. With well over 100 boats active during July and August this class provides competitive racing for dinghy sailors.
Bob Seely Isle of Wight MP has visited and discussed the history of the Sea View dinghy class with Nick Rivlin.
If you would like to read more about the family and the business's heritage we were featured in the Association of Yachting Historians. The article is available to download and read here.
For the SVYC 125th Anniversary in 2018 the SVOD class saw over 100 Sea View dinghies participate in the Club Sail Past on Sunday 19th August.
We at Warrens offer a wide range of boat maintenance, specialising in Sea View dinghies (SVODs) and wooden clinker dinghies. If you would like to arrange any maintenance for this season please fill in the SVOD Winter Maintenance form, which can be found in the form section and return it to us and we will be in touch. Contact details can be found here.
