Seaview & Our Heritage

Seaview is a small coastal village on the north-east coast of the Isle of Wight, with a long-standing connection to sailing, boating and life on the water.

Seaview & Boating

Seaview has always been a village shaped by the water. Where sailing, boating and life on the water are an important part of the community, with generations of local families spending their summers on the water.

At the heart of that boating tradition is the Seaview One Design (SVOD). The distinctive wooden dinghies have been part of Seaview life since 1931 and have become synonymous with the village.

The SVOD fleet brings together generations of sailors, from families who have owned their boats for decades to younger sailors discovering the class for the first time. During the summer, the sight of SVODs racing off Seaview is one of the defining features of the village's waterfront. The SVOD fleet continues to be an active part of the sailing calendar, with regular racing throughout the season and events that bring the wider Seaview community together.

WarrenBoats & Seaview

We've been part of Seaview for generations. The Warren family has been building, maintaining and caring for boats in the village for four generations. What started with boatbuilding has grown and evolved alongside Seaview's boating community.

Today, WarrenBoats continues to provide a home for the skills, knowledge and experience that have been passed down through the family, while supporting the boats and boat owners who make Seaview's waterfront so special.

Our connection with the Seaview Dinghy is at the heart of that story. For generations, WarrenBoats has been involved in building, maintaining, repairing and caring for SVODs, helping to keep these distinctive wooden boats sailing and racing in the waters where they belong.

But our work has grown beyond the SVOD. Today, we offer a wide range of services for RIBs, Motorboats and other small craft. From moorings and winter storage to maintenance, repairs and ongoing boat care.
